AS THE WATER FLOWS
What is interesting about this piece is the diversity of unusual supplies used to create. The grey elements of the painting are cement. I love the the way it contributes a sense of industrialism in contrast to the delicate nature of the gold leaf. The fluid pour adds another texture, creating a whimsical element. But my personal favourite aspect are the circles and how they were created; by the bottom of my wine glass dipped in red wine. I was really hoping that it would add a Merlot feature to the painting, but found it very interesting that they dried to the colour of the cement. Always surprises when one is creating.
